My Story
I believe that whatever you pursue in life, it must be pursued with passion! Who would have ever thought that a woman originally from West Virginia – a self-described, “country girl” and “coal-miner’s daughter” – would one day have a company offering tantalizing and tasty candied nuts? From an early age living in a small town in West Virginia, I was excited whenever my mother was cooking family meals or baking delicious cakes, pies, and cookies. I would practice baking outside while she was baking inside, making mud pies that looked good enough to eat – but of course, I didn’t.
Now, the kitchen is a sanctuary for me and my husband, Paul. We not only create delectable meals and pastries there, but it's where I also peacefully pursue my passion of baking sweets – especially my highly sought after candied nuts.
Leaning into my passion for cooking, I earned two associate degrees – one in Applied Science in Culinary Arts and another in Hospitality Studies in Baking and Pastry Arts. I am also certified by the American Culinary Federation.
